Economic Development
The LCIC offers dynamic results to business and industry for economic growth and retention. Our innovative partnerships with developers, governments, business leaders, and the non-profit sector allow us to package solutions effectively and efficiently. This collaboration allows for seamless integration into the long-term strategic plans for the region and offers business and industry reliability of resources.
Our integrated system is being viewed by the State of Ohio and federal government agencies as the model for the future.

Workforce Development
The LCIC stands with government leaders in acknowledging that economic development and workforce development are inherently linked and neither can succeed without the other. We partner with The Workforce Investment Board (WIB) of Lucas County, as well as area workforce development agencies, training and educational institutions, and the non-profit sector to ensure that business has the necessary skilled workers they need today and in the future.

Educational Development
The LCIC and the WIB are dedicated to building the best workforce in the region - now and for the future. To obtain that goal, communication, partnership, educational systems development, leveraging resources, and county-wide strategic planning for delivering education to residents at all levels and all ages is crucial. Our P-16 Council education initiative is the keystone for LCIC's educational development objectives.
